News | Ana Flávia Miguel is the new editorial director of Revista Transcultural de Música (TRANS)
The Sociedad de Etnomusicología (SIBE) has announced that Ana Flávia Miguel, a researcher at INET-md, will be the new editorial director of Revista Transcultural de Música (TRANS). The competition for the position was launched in November 2023 and Ana Flávia Miguel's application was the winning proposal. The application project was accompanied by a plural team of researchers from different parts of the world and academies, representing the fields of music covered by TRANS, as well as the different languages in which the journal publishes: Spanish, Portuguese and English.
The new director will be the seventh researcher to direct TRANS and the first Portuguese woman to hold this position.

About TRANS
TRANS is a reference journal in the field of ethnomusicology and popular music studies, peer-reviewed and with particular expression in the Iberian Peninsula, Brazil and Latin America. It was first published in 1995.
