Biography
Colombian historian, with a Master's and Ph.D. in Social History from the University of São Paulo. Author of the book "Las historias de la música en Hispanoamérica" (2010), which earned an honorable mention in the X Casa de las Américas Musicology Prize and is frequently consulted in postgraduate courses in Music within the Hispanic context. Her second book, "Da música folclórica à música mecânica: Mário de Andrade e o conceito música popular" (2015), received the Social History Prize (USP). Her innovative doctoral research on música caipira and fonografia was honored with 1st place in the 2019 Silvio Romero Competition (IPHAN). She was a professor at the Faculdad de Artes - ASAB of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (Colombia) between 2005 and 2007. In recent years, she has contributed to the Brazilian and Hispanic-American academia as a lecturer, member of master's and doctoral examination boards, reviewer for specialized journals, editor, author of articles, and participant and organizer of academic events. Currently, she is a researcher at INET-md, University of Aveiro (Portugal), contributing to the project "Liber|Sound: Práticas inovadoras de arquivamento para a libertação da memória sonora.
