Biography
Edgard Morel Felipe-Alves completed his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition in 2013 and the Master's Degree in Music in Context in 2018, both at the University of Brasilia in Brazil. He acts professionally as a composer, instrumentalist (trumpet, trombone, flute, piano, guitar, double bass), improviser, producer and teacher. He is currently a PhD student in Music Sciences (Ethnomusicology) at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Since the masters degree, he investigates sociocultural factors that foster or inhibit musical creativity, with a greater interest in approaching improvisation, composition and musical pedagogy in their interactions. He has experience in recording, editing and mixing, audiovisual editing, event production, website building and digital marketing.
