Biography
Associate Professor in School of Applied Arts (ESART), Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco; Director of ESART; member of Instituto de Etnomusicologia – Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. He received her doctorate from Universidad de Extremadura (Spain), 2013. Carried out field research about popular practices, that culminated in various ethnographic records, namely the documentaries Memórias de uma lenda (Memoirs of a Legend), 2011, and É a nossa tradição! (It's our tradition!), 2008. Between 2010-2012, he was president of ESART Technical-Scientific Council; between 2011-2019, he was Coordinator of the Technical-Scientific Unit of Music and Performing Arts (ESART) and between 2015-2017, he was coordinator of the Bachelor in music in the same institution.
