Biography
Pedro Moreira has a PhD in Musicology by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) having specialized in the study of musical practices in the early years of the Estado Novo. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at INET-MD, where he develops a research on music and media in Portuguese community in Île de France. He has taught in several universities and polytechnics, and also assumed various positions as director of music performance departments, such as National Academy of Orchestra Metropolitana, and Instituto Piaget. He also collaborates in writing program notes for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the National Theater of São Carlos and Casa da Música.
