Article | "Pathways for a Justice-Oriented Ethnomusicology"
Andrew Snyder, researcher of INET-md/NOVA FCSH, co-authors the editorial "Dear SEM" opening the most recent number of the journal Rising Voices in Ethnomusicology, on "Ethics, Values, and Commitments". The section written with Katelyn Best is titled "Pathways for a Justice-Oriented Ethnomusicology", and returns to the book At The Crossroads of Music and Social Justice (2022) –that both co-edited with Brenda Romero, Susan Asai and David McDonald –, to call for an ethnomusicology fundamentally democratic, horizontal and decolonial.
