The monumental collection of music ‘Flores de Musica’ by Manuel Rodrigues Coelho (ca.1555-1635), the first printed music in Portugal (1620), is finally the subject of an unprecedented undertaking: their first complete recording of this work, published in the catalogue of the prestigious English record label Inventa Records.
 
This is a series in 6 volumes, published between 2022 and 2025  the most recent (volume 3) was recorded by the harpsichordist Ana Mafalda Castro  and its executive and recording producer and musical editor is INET-md (NOVA FCSH) researcher Tiago Manuel da Hora, who has dedicated a large part of his activity to the research on the record production of classical music in Portugal, as well as to recording edition, as this series reflects. 

This collection, under the artistic direction of the organist João Vaz (CESEM/ESML-IPL), features the participation of various outstanding soloists in the interpretation of early music in Portugal, including Fernando Miguel Jalôto (researcher at INET-md), whose album is scheduled to be available from January 2025.
 
This record series follows a new critical edition of the score, carried out by João Vaz, with Sérgio Silva and André Ferreira, as part of the ECHOM (ECHO Collection of Historical Organ Music), which serves as the main musical source in this record series, which take place in different spaces and on different historical Portuguese instruments. This artistic output is based on a strong component of musicological research, with significant participation from members of INET-md's research group on Historical and Cultural Studies in Music.
