Post-doctoral research in music theory at the University of Aveiro, Portugal; Doctor of Music in composition from Indiana University, USA; Master of Music in composition from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Bachelor of Music in transverse flute from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Professor of Music at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil; ex-principal flutist with the Amazonas Philharmonic, Brazil; winner of three international composition competitions and a local composition competition at Indiana University.
