Biography
Luís Carlos Pinto de Castro is a multi-instrumentalist musician specialized in voice and improvisation, educator, researcher and composer. He completed a Master's degree in Music Education - jazz variant in 2015 at IPP/ESMAE, a Bachelor's degree in Music - jazz variant in 2013 at IPP/ESMAE, and a Bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2010 at IPP - ESE. Currently, he holds the following positions in the field of music education: invited assistant at IPP - ESE where he teaches instrumental and vocal practice, improvisation, composition, and repertoire for childhood; singing and vocal ensemble teacher at EPME; jazz singing, choir, and improvisation teacher at Art´J; researcher in the field of education sciences, with an emphasis on the study of learning and impacts of musical improvisation. He is also author of several musical compositions and co-author of the book "Cantaroler" - a book of vocal improvisation for children and adults published in 2022.
