Biography

Born in Bulgaria, Portuguese nationality, she is a dancer, choreographer, researcher, director and creator of projects such as, TUDANZAS (2012-present), Bacantoh (Barcelona, 2010, and Brazil, 2017). PhD student in Dance at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana in Lisbon. Postgraduate in Community Dance at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana in Lisbon. Graduated in Contemporary Dance at the professional scholl Balleteatro in Porto. Degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics for Astronomy in Porto. Master in complex systems and "Origin and Evolution of Life" by the University of Minho. Master in Project Management and Cultural Spaces- E-learning Training, Asociación Nacional de Centros de Enseñanza E-learning y Distancia , Spain.
As choreographer of Bacantoh her last works were presented in Barcelona, São Paulo and Taubaté.
Ana Leitão is a reference in community projects in the city of Barcelona, and has been invited to participate in the Jornadas sobre Cultura Inclusiva i Art Comunitari, Servei de Desenvolupament Empresarial (SDE) i l'Àrea de Públics, L'Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC) and the Jornades Internacionals d'Acció Comunitària, Institut de Govern and Polítiques Públiques - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Ajuntament de Barcelona.
