Biography

Inês began her studies in the area of dance at the age of 8 at Ana Mangericão Dance School by obtaining all Royal Ballet School exams.

In September 2002 he entered the National Conservatory School of Dance where he obtained the Professional Ballerina Diploma in 2009. In that same year she became a semi-finalist of the "Prix de Lausanne" International Competition where she won a scholarship for the Joffrey Ballet School in New York was invited to dance for the television channel Biography Channel.

In June 2009, she became a member of the Quorum Ballet Dance Company.

In 2017 she completed the Masters Course in Dance Education (ESD) and in 2019 she attended the 1st year of the PhD in Human Motricity, Dance specialty (FMH).

As an interpreter, at Quorum Ballet Company (2009/2014) she worked with several choreographers of different nationalities, performing in various countries such as China, Macau, Denmark, Spain, Serbia, Ecuador, Thailand, Switzerland, Germany and others. In 2014 and 2015, she worked with playwright Pedro Alves, at Companhia Teatromosca, about William Faulkne's "The Sound and the Fury". Between 2016 and 2018 she worked with Vortice Dance Company with the ballet, "Fatima, The Day the Sun Danced", with Quorum Ballet with the ballets: Excentric Concentric and Mesa, Swan Lake and Rite of Spring |Made in China at CAE Figueira da Foz and later with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra at Alcobaça Monastery and also at BlackBox Arts & Cognition, a Movement Study and Research: research project with choreographer Sylvia Rijmer and the University's Faculty of Social and Human Sciences New in Lisbon. In 2019 she was invited to participate in Daniel Cardoso's "Nous - Inner Perception" performance and is also invited to dance at the gala organized by Ravenna Ballet Studio "Ten years Gala", a duet choreographed by Margarida Belo Costa "Our Last View" and danced with the dancer Luís Malaquias, in Italy.

As a dance rehearser and working directly with the choreographers, in April 2016 she was invited to reassemble the ballet "Swan Lake" by choreographer Daniel Cardoso at 37.25 - Nucleus of Performing Arts (NAP), at Teatro Micaelense, in the Azores. Between 2017/2019 was a rehearsing teacher of the pieces: Traces In the Dust - Miguel Ramalho; Sostenuto Molto - Fábio Lopez; À procura do Ré - Rui Lopes Graça; Cadet Ball - Alphonse Poulin by David Lichin | Johann Strauss II; Piazzolla - José Luís Vieira; Napoli - Cedric Lamprette Recreation; Angeless Bree on Moon's Aura - Miguel Esteves; We've Got The Blues - Lorand Zachar and the Rite of Spring - Olga Roriz.

As a creator, she choreographed solos and trios in a competitive context, acquiring outstanding and merit awards; with the Junior Company of the Aveiro Dance School (2016) for the World Dance Day program; with the Small Company of the Setúbal Academy of Contemporary Dance the Show Young Choreographers named: 24 and Again (st) Certain. Again (st) Even, for AnimaBallet Young Company with participation in Festival Aqui ___ Acolá – 2019 in Madeira.

As a dance teacher (freelancer), she collaborated with several national and international schools in workshops and masterclass such as: Ravenna Ballet Studio (Italy), Artist, Quorum Academy, FullOut, Norton Matos Center (Coimbra), Almada Dance School, Diogo de Carvalho School (Leiria), Aveiro Dance School, Contemporary Ballet Academy (Algarve), Dance Factory, Dance Spot, Funchal Dance School (Madeira Island), Studio 13 (Azores Island) and Domus Dance School (Oporto); and also for professional dancers: Quorum Ballet Company, Vitor Cordon Studios and CAB Studios in Lisbon.

As a dance teacher, she taught between 2016/2018 at the Academy of Contemporary Dance of Setúbal and at the School of Conservatory of Music and Dance of Coimbra: Classical Dance Technique and Classical Dance Repertory; in 2017/2019 at the National Conservatory Artistic School of Dance in Lisbon: Contemporary Dance Technique, Contemporary Repertory and Choreographic Workshop; in 2018/2020 at the University Higher School of Dance (IPL)in Lisbon: Dance Techniques.
