Biography
Ana Cristina de Oliveira Almeida. She received her doctorate in Ethnomusicology from the University of Aveiro, and carried out field work in Daman (India), in the United Kingdom, and in Portugal focusing on the role of music in the construction of places of memory and of imagination within the Portuguese-based creole linguistic communities living in politically non-independent territories.
