“Podia ter esperado por agosto” premiered on July 18th in national cinemas. This romantic comedy tells the story of a young man from the countryside who falls in love with a girl from Lisbon, showcasing the landscapes of northern Portugal. According to the composer, he handled all the composition and recording of instruments such as the keyboard, piano, vocals, saxophone, clarinet, and flute, with the assistance of cellist Marco Pereira.

This is not the first time João Martins has collaborated with César Mourão. They previously worked together on the mini-series "Be Right Back," although in a very different context, as the composer explains: “For ‘Be Right Back,’ I created the soundtrack without seeing any visuals (...) but here, it was a very different process where I had to compose directly to the footage.” Therefore, when he received the invitation, he initially hesitated: "I warned César that I had never done a feature film or original composition in this context and asked if I was truly the right person for the job. He confirmed and trusted me."
