About GUITPHONICS project
It aims to develop new knowledge of the technique of guitar multiphonics and its sounds. The project will systematically investigate the spectral content of a myriad of sounds, covering all three bass strings; and, through practice-based research, develop new ways of using this technique. The amplification of the sounds will be considered in both cases, as this allows for perceiving an even greater diversity of tone colors. The project will also create an open-access online platform to explain the technique and convey the project results to the artistic community and the public. New guitar pieces will be created, thus enriching the limited repertoire in which the technique is employed.
