The 3rd Meeting on Music, Technology, and Research aims to promote the development of the areas of creation, interpretation, theory, and music technology. Giving priority to contemporary creation and music technology, the event aims to be a forum for discussion and theoretical reflection on creation and interpretation with electronic means. The main objective of this initiative is to increase the literacy of students in various training cycles in the area of music creation, with a special focus on the use of electronic media.

The meeting highlights the importance of aesthetic reflection in understanding the major themes of contemporary creation and the critical relationship between the potential of new technologies and creative thinking. Aspects of aesthetic and technical thinking will be addressed in the context of musical creation and interpretation, through the analysis of relevant works and texts, as well as a theoretical reflection on the major references of the first decades of Concrete Music and Electronic Music.

Those interested in giving presentations must submit the completed form to research@mic.p by June 7, 2024.
