Henrique Portovedo and João Pedro Silva (saxophonist) are touring the UK's most prestigious Higher Music Conservatoires, an initiative promoted by Andy Scott of Manchester's Royal Nothern College of Music, with the support of D'Addario Woodwinds and Selmer Paris. The tour is based on the dissemination of research, composition and performance of contemporary Portuguese saxophone music.

The teacher, who has an international career as a soloist, with performing experience with some of the most important national and international ensembles, has often been invited to give presentations and masterclasses at the most important European higher conservatories.

The tour that will soon begin - starting on March 10 and ending on March 15 - will consist of practical saxophone lessons for the students of those institutions, concerts, and a series of communications about his work as a performer-creator, from his research into "Augmented Musical Performance".

The concerts and communications on the Tour will feature examples of compositions by INET-md researchers, like Sara Carvalho and Luis Carvalho.
