Abstract
The research seeks to understand how the artistic and pedagogical activities of Portuguese guitarists and their descendants between the years 1875 and 1975 developed in Brazil through the identification and collection of their productions, the composition of their artistic itineraries and and the interpretation of his works. It is expected to contribute to the replacement of significant memories of the relationship between Brazil and Portugal, for the historical resignification of the contributions of Portuguese guitarists in the consolidation of the cultural and musical identity of Brazil, for the awareness of the Brazilian influence in the artistic production of Portuguese musicians (or their descendants) upon their return to Portugal, for the recreation of the sound imaginary of migrants, for the rescue and promotion of creative productions, for the ratification of local identities and for the acquisition of new knowledge about these migrants and their artistic and educational activities.
