Grupo de Música Antiga de Lisboa - Emissora Nacional (1965-1969)
On 9th of January 2025, a new recording was presented at Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal, resulting from musicological research into phonographic sources from the RTP archive by INET-md researcher Tiago Manuel da Hora.
This new record is a set of unpublished recordings by the Grupo de Música Antiga de Lisboa (Lisbon Early Music Group), a selection of recordings that this pioneering group made for Emissora Nacional between 1965 and 1969. This edition is part of the MPMP's ‘Memory’ series and, nearly six decades later, it allows us to listen once again to the Grupo de Música Antiga de Lisboa (1963-1970), accompanied by unpublished iconography and a historiographical essay by Tiago Manuel da Hora, who was also responsible for the artistic direction of this edition.
