New Year's Courses | History of Music and stylistic appreciation
Between January 14th and February 6th, 2025, Helena Vasques de Carvalho and Cristina Fernandes, INET-md's researchers, promote a course in "Music History and stylistic appreciation", open to the general public in the Luís Krus Centre - Lifelong Learning, at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon.
The course consists of an approach to the world of music through informed listening, from medieval times to 21st-century music. It is designed to recognize the evolution of musical language through the ages in Western music and includes listening to reference works, presentation of themes, discussion, readings, and concert attendance.
