The present communication aims to present a set of projects, with social and artistic purposes, germinated in the author's music. These projects, rooted in (co)creative and transdisciplinary experiences, were created and implemented under her direction as a researcher, musician, and teacher, along with other specialists from the Department of Communication and Art at the University of Aveiro (UA), such as designer Pedro Carvalho de Almeida, in different communities and educational environments across the country. Involving nearly a thousand participants, these projects mainly relate to research stemming from her musical work Paluí. Specifically, two projects mobilized, between 2014-17 and 2018-19, in contexts of social engagement, cooperation, and artistic co-creation, music and design students and teachers from UA and, respectively: communities of Santa Maria da Feira (students and teachers from Elementary and Preschool Education); patients of the Magalhães Lemos Hospital in Porto (users of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service); music students and teachers from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, educators and children from the Aveiro Arts and Quality Center, and artists from Casa da Música. Although with primarily aesthetic goals, but represents a conceptual and methodological continuity initiated with Paluí, a brief showcase of artistic works resulting from the researcher’s more recent and ongoing musical creation and its germinated project, Espaços do Som: Massaiá na recriação de polifonias de sentido, will be finally exhibited and presented. Beyond contemplating the results of any of these projects, made possible through the presentation of images, objects, and videos, the intention is to share and provoke critical reflections on issues such as music, the arts, and education, and their connection with society. The analysis will highlight the role of creativity, transdisciplinarity, and collaborative processes. Consequently, the redefinition of the roles of artists, including music teachers, is necessary to respond to the challenges posed by the type of social and cultural commitment they require.
