The Post-ip group, composed of PhD students from INET-md, has just released the 10th episode of Pod-ip. This week's episode features singer, songwriter, and PhD candidate in Musicology, Mili Vizcaíno, who shares her insights on organizing her first ecological festival, reflecting her values and dedication to sustainability in music. The episode is available on the Pod-ip YouTube channel and Spotify page.

In this episode, travel through the musical and academic world of Mili Vizcaíno. From discovering music at eight, mastering classical piano, and later self-teaching guitar and trumpet, Mili's journey is rich and diverse. With a Master's degree in Jazz, her compositions span various styles and audiences. Her profound understanding of harmony and poetic sensibility shines in her work. As a vocalist, music teacher, composer, and academic, she advocates for an ecological approach to music creation. She shares her insights on organizing her first ecological festival, reflecting her values and dedication to sustainability in music.
 
 
Mili VizcaínoMili Vizcaíno is a singer, songwriter, and PhD in Musicology at the University of Évora. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music at the same institution, but her academic career is much broader. She earned a Master's degree in Jazz under the tutelage of singer Maria João at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where she defended a thesis on Carnatic music. Additionally, she completed a Postgraduate Degree in Teaching Music to Children at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Nature is central in Mili's musical practice, prominently featured in her album Verde mi Sangre, Rojo tus Hojas, released in 2023. Her environmental concerns also influence her PhD research, which addresses the panorama of Ecomusicology in the Iberian Peninsula. In this context, in May 2024, she organized the Ecoestival in Serra de Montejunto.
