Gilvano Dalagna, an integrated researcher at INET-md, was recently nominated as one of the new commissioners of the Commission for Education of the Professional Musician (CEPROM) of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) for the 2024–2026 biennium.

The Commission for Education of the Professional Musician brings together music educators from various parts of the world with the goal of developing new approaches to training future music professionals in diverse areas of activity within Higher Education Institutions.CEPROM's primary focus is exploring, discussing, and developing innovative approaches to musician training, aiming to prepare musicians for the challenges of a multifaceted career. Professional identity, specialized skill development, social responsibility, collaborative abilities, leadership, and ethics are some of the key issues driving its motivation for exchange and service.
 
One of the commissioners' main responsibilities is organizing the CEPROM international seminar. The 2026 edition will be held in Montreal, Canada, one week before the ISME general conference, and promises to be a key meeting point for discussing new trends and challenges in music education.
