Seminar | Music Festivals in Portugal and Europe | Filipa Cardoso - Music Festivals, Tourism and Economy
On the 19th of May, at 4pm, in room B210 (FCSH | Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Torre B, Av. de Berna), the fourth open class of the Seminar Music Festivals in Portugal and Europe will take place, taught by the researcher from INET-md Sofia Vieira Lopes.
This class will have as guest Filipa Cardoso, Director of the Department of Communication and Digital Marketing of Turismo de Portugal, and will be dedicated to the topic: "Music Festivals, Tourism and Economy".
In this session, the guest will present how Music Festivals - increasingly emerging events in Portugal - are, or are not, framed in a broader strategy of Turismo de Portugal and how a public institution such as Turismo de Portugal sees/promotes/takes advantage of/mobilizes these phenomena whose reality is not limited to big cities.
This is the fourth of several sessions open to the community. The next activities will take place on the following dates:
- 26 May: Luís Ferreira - Cultural Programmer | Teatro Nacional D. Maria II - " Living the Village and creating a Music Festival with the community"
- 02 June: Ana Filipa Carvalho – Director of Teatro Tivoli BBVA – “Production and programming of Music Festivals and large-scale events”
