Diana Grguric is an associate professor at the University of Rijeka Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her research interests focus on the theme of intermediality of music and literature, the field of humanities related to art, more specifically, musicology and ethnomusicology. Since 1996, she has been conductor and art director of the 4'33'' group. The 4'33'' group is devoted to the art-vocal music that is on the track of vocal and instrumental music of folklore origin, arranged with electronic, synthetic and factual sounds. The group has published a number of music albums and projects, the last of which, Vidih vodu, is a music stage performance that revives Glagolitic melodies. Diana Grguric is the president of the Department for the Music Heritage Research of Rijeka and its surrounding area, established at the Ivan Matetic Ronjgov Institute in 2008, within the project of the City of Rijeka Department for Culture. She is the author of books on popular music, history of Croatian music and intermediality of music and literature. She is also the author of numerous articles published in different International journals and lecturer at numerous music symposia and conferences.
