Music is considered an essential narrative device in modern film storytelling. How is music technology linked to the compositional process and in which ways can modern music production tools shape the music and provide narrative support to the picture? Starting with an overview of the modern film scoring process and accompanied by numerous audio and video examples, this seminar will explore tools, practices and concepts that can offer a unique sonic palette to films and various media formats.
