LA:B Workshop | LAbEAMUS in partnership with Voz Nua - Cultural Association
The Laboratory for the Teaching and Learning of Musics at the University of Aveiro (LAbEAMUS) aims to provide a space for experimentation, meeting and sharing for researchers from INET-md and other institutions to develop research projects relating to the teaching and learning of music. LAbEAMUS also aims to facilitate the articulation of empirical projects through the establishment of a network of schools, other institutions (such as the European Association of String Teachers with whom a protocol has been established) and individuals from the local community that may participate in these research projects through a system of mutual collaboration.

O Círculo da Voz - vocal improvisation
Manuel Linhares | Jazz singer | Institute of Berlin
Founded in 2017 by singer Manuel Linhares, Círculo da Voz is a vocal improvisation and creativity lab that transforms the voice into more than just a musical instrument – it becomes a tool for individual expression and collective creation.
These sessions explore the voice beyond traditional choral models through circle singing and other group improvisation exercises. They focus exclusively on improvisation to create unique compositions and enhance participants' musicality. The goal is to cultivate a spontaneous form of vocal expression, fostering musical development, creativity, and improvisational skills.
Open to singers, actors, dancers, performers, and anyone interested in exploring the artistic potential of their voice and body, Círculo da Voz requires no prior musical experience. All that is needed is curiosity and a willingness to discover new sonic possibilities in a space of experimentation and sharing.
