The workshop is aimed at instrumentalists interested in deepening their knowledge of Choro, an Afro-Brazilian musical genre predominantly instrumental, often associated with Jazz and Samba. With a strong tradition of improvisation and harmonic sophistication, Choro represents one of the richest expressions of Brazilian music. During the sessions, participants will explore the genre's historical evolution, its main stylistic and technical characteristics, as well as the interpretation of iconic repertoires. The sessions will also include practical experimentation with Choro idiomatic resources, expanding the expressive possibilities of instrumentalists in different musical styles.

The seminar is open to the entire community. However, it is recommended that participants have an intermediate or advanced level. For the practical workshops, held in all sessions, each participant should bring their musical instrument.

Those interested should register here. Registration is free but mandatory.
