Organized by a team that includes two researchers of INET-md, Andrew Snyder and Filippo Bonini Baraldi, and with the participation of Alix Sarrouy, this conference aims to analyze the resistance or, on the contrary, domestication of musical practices in contemporary city spaces. Beyond considering the movements to which these practices are linked, it will explore how a spatial approach to music may make it possible to highlight links and tensions, and complicities between place, cultural identity and social struggles. Researchers and artists who work in Europe (France, Belgium, Portugal, Italy), Cape Verde and Brazil, will present music or sound pieces (recordings, sound documentaries, audio files), in addition to presentations.
