Acoustic topographies: preservation as a creative act - Explorations of Argentina's acoustic and sound heritage through listening and technology
Damian Payo | Universidade Católica de Salta
Acoustic Topographies invites to explore the acoustic and sound heritage of a series of spaces in Argentina through a prism that not only considers traditional preservation and conservation methods, but also integrates the creative act in the reconstruction of spaces and sound cultures. This seminar presents research and creative approaches considering specific acoustically unique spaces on a journey that combines geography with sound and musical practices, with the aim of preserving, recreating and resurrecting sound memories.
