Concert | Momentum: Gestos e Estase

The unexpected contrasts between sonic virtuosity and contemplative stasis drive the creation of musical gestures. A series of premier works will be presented, including co-creations developed over the semester by students Bruna Santander, Henrique Siracusa, João Bica, João Silva, and Renato Gonçalves. This concert is the result of the curricular unit "Music in the 20th and 21st Centuries" from the Master's in Music at the University of Aveiro, taught by researcher Henrique Portovedo.
Momentum Conference and Concert Series - Composers and performers in the first person
This is another of the events included in the "Momentum Conference and Concert Cycle - Composers and Performers in the 1st Person", an initiative that aims to give a voice to composers and performers, revealing more informally the paths of each one. Each meeting is intended to be a moment of debate and sharing on matters of musical creation and interpretation. The associated concerts, which are often talked about, contribute to bringing the public closer to and raising awareness of contemporary music.
The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
