The Observatory of Protest Song (OCP) is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Grândola, the promoting body, Associação José Afonso, Sociedade Musical Fraternidade Operária Grandolense, and the institutes of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon CESEM - Center for the Study of Sociology and Musical Aesthetics, Institute of Ethnomusicology - Center for the Study of Music and Dance, and the Institute of Contemporary History.
