The third edition of the International Conference EUROVISIONS is taking place on the 26th, 28th and 30th of May 2020 online, unlike our previous face-to-face editions in Tel Aviv (2018) and in Lisbon (2018) which took place alongside the Eurovision Song Contest. COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the live show of the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest that was due to take place in Rotterdam, and the EUROVISIONS International Conference team also cancelled their scheduled conference in the city. However, the Eurovision spirit is resilient and during Eurovision week many events took place online or were broadcasted on TV helping musicians, songwriters, singers, other professionals and fans to gather and celebrate. Thus, the EUROVISIONS International Conference team wanting to continue bringing together the Eurovision community of academics, musicians, professionals, and fans is organising a series of online events on the 26th, 28th and 30th of May 2020. Our focus is to reflect on how the COVID-19 situation has impacted the event and those involved: broadcasters, organisers, artists, musicians, audiences, fans. Each day we bring you pre- recorded interviews and live discussions in which you can participate. See the schedule below. We will be back next year in a live format along with the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing you all online!

Background
The EUROVISIONS project started in February 2018 in Lisbon, triggered by the unprecedented fact of Portugal hosting that year's Eurovision Song Contest! The idea was to offer scientific perspectives from the social sciences, humanities and the arts in general to an event which gathers millions of viewers in its television broadcast version, as well as enthusiastic live audiences wherever it is held. Due to the interest raised by its first edition, both from the research community, the ESC fan base and the professionals involved in the event, the organizing team decided to repeat the experience in May 2018, and the following year, in Tel Aviv. The 2019 conference's success strengthened the idea of keeping this conference as a parallel academic and public engagement event to the actual ESC every year.
