Biography
Degree in Musical Sciences from the New University of Lisbon and master in Musical Sciences from the University of Coimbra, Ph.D. in Education Sciences/Psychology of Music from the University of Aveiro with a grant from the FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology. Head of the Covilhã branch of CPAI – Portuguese Club of Arts and Ideas (1990 - 1992). Currently a lecturer in the area of Music at the School of Education at Coimbra Polytechnic, teaching various subjects in the field of “Acoustics” on the degree courses of Applied Musical Studies and Multimedia Communication and Design. Permanent researcher at CIPEM/INET-md – Centre for Research in Psychology of Music and Music Education, at the Institute of Ethnomusicology – Centre of Music and Dance Studies. Participation in national and international conferences, in addition to publishing articles in the areas of Psychoacoustics and Education Sciences/Psychology of Music in national and international journals.
